Oasis Life Care Ministries - Zambia The Oasis project had its beginnings back in 2004 when a young woman with a 2 week old baby lost her father and her whole world was shaken. As a result of that she developed a passion for the vulnerable children in her community. As her passion grew so did her vision for what could happen. In 2007 people from Australia noticed what was doing and decided they needed to help her. OLCM was registered as an NGO and land was bought to help the vision to provide food, health care and education to the growing number of children in her care become a self-sustainable venture. Lainah Phiri is the founder of and visionary behind Oasis Care. Born and raised in the Copperbelt, her amazing heart for her own people and her compassion and love for the children of Kantalomba are an inspiration to anyone who meets her. She works fulltime with Oasis Care in coordinating the work, supervising the administration, working with Benson on the farm and has learnt all about farming crops and is a local 'expert' in what to and how to grow it ‘ Currently OLCM Zambia has seven people working on their team.

Oasis Life Care Ministries -Australia Since 2007 OLCM has been on the hearts of people in Burnie Tasmania. They captured Lainah’s vision and have been helping her in feeding children and establishing a profitable enterprise at the ‘farm’. In December 2014 Oasis Life Care Ministries Australia Inc was established. Their purpose is to work closely with OLCM Zambia to help them achieve their goals. A major part of this is in raising awareness and ongoing funds to establish and grow the work in Ndola.
